The Immortal Great Souls Books in Order
The Immortal Great Souls is a progression fantasy series set in Hell.
Great Souls are repeatedly reincarnated to defend the city of Bastion and continue humanity’s attempt to conquer the layers of the underworld. Their prior achievements, powers, and political reputations shape the status they receive when they return.
Scorio begins at the bottom. He is condemned before he can recover his former identity and must rebuild his abilities outside the institutions intended to train him.
1. Bastion
Bastion (2021): Scorio is reborn as a Great Soul, immediately condemned as a traitor, and cast into the ruins beneath humanity’s last city in Hell.
Cut off from formal training, resources, and knowledge of his former lives, he must learn how the local magic works while surviving among other outcasts. His search for answers exposes corruption inside the system that decides which reincarnated heroes deserve power.
This is the only appropriate starting point. It introduces the Great Souls, their reincarnation cycle, Bastion, the academy, the ranks of progression, and Scorio’s uncertain history.
2. The Rascor Plains
The Rascor Plains (2023): Scorio leaves the relative boundaries of Bastion and enters the vast second layer of Hell.
His growing strength brings him into conflicts involving powerful Houses, local rulers, political unrest, and Great Souls who have profited from the existing order. Scorio must decide which alliances can help him advance without turning him into another servant of the system he distrusts.
The novel expands the physical scale of the series and develops the consequences of Scorio’s refusal to follow the expected path.

The story follows several viewpoint characters, including Asho, Lady Iskra Kyferin, Kethe, Audsley, and the kragh warlord Tharok.
Optional Prequel: Escape from Bythos
