Keira Andrews Books in Order (Updated August 4, 2026)

Keira Andrews writes gay romance across contemporary, historical, sports, holiday, fantasy, paranormal, survival, and action-adventure settings. Her books range from quiet friends-to-lovers stories to continuing trilogies about Amish men, werewolves, infected survivors, bodyguards, lifeguards, and arranged royal marriages.

Keira Andrews Books in Order

Her bibliography does not occupy one shared universe. Some series follow the same couple across several books and require strict order. Others use a common setting while changing couples, which gives readers more freedom.

The easiest way to approach the catalog is to separate the continuing stories from the connected standalones.

Which Keira Andrews Series Require Strict Order?

Four sequences should not be rearranged.

  1. Gay Amish Romance: Isaac and David remain the central couple across three main novels, followed by a holiday story.
  2. Kick at the Darkness: Parker and Adam survive the same continuing paranormal apocalypse across all three books.
  3. Valor: Rafa and Shane’s forbidden bodyguard romance begins in Valor on the Move and concludes in Test of Valor.
  4. Barbarian Duet: Jem and Cador’s arranged marriage begins in Wed to the Barbarian and is completed in The Barbarian’s Vow.

Festive Fakes, Lifeguards of Barking Beach, Love on the Ice, and Love at the Holidays change couples. Publication order is still recommended, but individual books in those groups are generally more approachable as standalones.

Gay Amish Romance Books in Order

Gay Amish Romance follows Isaac Byler and David Lantz from a hidden relationship inside an Amish community through separation, escape, and the difficult search for a life outside everything they were taught.

These are not interchangeable romances. All three main books follow Isaac and David, and each installment depends on the events of the previous one.

1. A Forbidden Rumspringa

A Forbidden Rumspringa (2014): Isaac and David fall in love while approaching adulthood in an Amish community where admitting their feelings could cost them their families, faith, and place in the only world they know.

The book establishes their secret relationship and the conflict between personal truth and communal duty.

It is the only safe starting point for the trilogy.

2. A Clean Break

A Clean Break (2015): Isaac and David leave Amish life behind, only to discover that physical escape does not remove guilt, fear, financial pressure, or the habits formed by years of strict religious expectations.

Their relationship is tested by an unfamiliar outside world and by the different ways each man handles freedom.

Read it immediately after A Forbidden Rumspringa.

3. A Way Home

A Way Home (2015): Isaac and David must decide whether they can build a lasting future while remaining connected to the families and community they left behind.

The final main novel brings their private relationship into a wider family conflict and forces both men to define what home means.

This book completes the principal trilogy.

3.5. A Very English Christmas

A Very English Christmas (2015): Isaac and David travel to England for the holidays, where unfamiliar traditions and family celebrations give them a warmer chapter after the upheaval of the trilogy.

The novella assumes that the couple has already reached the ending of A Way Home.

Placement: Read after all three main novels.

Wish Come True

Wish Come True (2015): This holiday anthology contains a shorter Isaac and David story alongside romances by other authors.

The relevant material is supplementary rather than a separate fourth main novel.

Status: Optional anthology appearance.

Gay Amish Romance Reading Order

  1. A Forbidden Rumspringa
  2. A Clean Break
  3. A Way Home
  4. A Very English Christmas
  5. The Isaac and David material in Wish Come True, optional

Publication order and recommended order are the same.

Kick at the Darkness Books in Order

Kick at the Darkness combines gay romance, werewolves, infected humans, road-trip survival, and found family.

Parker Osborne and Adam Hawkins remain the central couple throughout all three books. The external conflict continues from one installment to the next, so the series must be read in order.

1. Kick at the Darkness

Kick at the Darkness (2015): College student Parker is forced to rely on his irritating classmate Adam when an outbreak turns much of the population into violent, zombie-like infected.

Adam is hiding his identity as a werewolf, while Parker must abandon his privileged assumptions and learn how to survive.

Their enemies-to-lovers relationship begins during a dangerous journey through a collapsing world.

2. Fight the Tide

Fight the Tide (2016): Parker and Adam escape onto the water and follow a message promising refuge, even though the supposed sanctuary may expose Adam to dangers from both humans and other wolves.

The second book expands the couple’s relationship into a larger found family while continuing the infected-survivor plot.

It begins after the events of Kick at the Darkness and should not be read alone.

3. Defy the Future

Defy the Future (2024): Parker and Adam have established a community, but a new threat forces them to risk the fragile safety and family they fought to create.

The book returns to the couple years after the second installment and completes the current trilogy.

Earlier decisions, relationships, and supernatural rules are essential background.

Kick at the Darkness Reading Order

  1. Kick at the Darkness
  2. Fight the Tide
  3. Defy the Future

Chronological order does not differ from publication order.

Valor Books in Order

The Valor duology follows Rafael Castillo, the closeted son of the United States president, and Shane Kendrick, the Secret Service agent assigned to protect him.

Their romance is continuous across both books. The first installment does not provide the complete conclusion.

1. Valor on the Move

Valor on the Move (2015): College student Rafa has spent years hiding his sexuality under the scrutiny surrounding the White House, then develops feelings for the older Secret Service agent responsible for his safety.

Shane recognizes Rafa’s loneliness but knows that acting on their attraction would violate professional boundaries and place both their futures at risk.

The book begins their forbidden relationship and ends with major personal and security consequences still unresolved.

2. Test of Valor

Test of Valor (2017): Rafa and Shane attempt to build a life after the events of the first book while public attention, family responsibilities, and new danger test whether their relationship can survive outside secrecy.

This is the direct conclusion to Valor on the Move.

Read the books consecutively.

Valor: The Complete Duology

Valor: The Complete Duology (2021): This edition collects Valor on the Move and Test of Valor in one volume.

It is an omnibus, not a third story.

Barbarian Duet Books in Order

The Barbarian Duet is a historical fantasy romance following Prince Jem and Cador, the foreign warrior he is ordered to marry.

Both books tell one continuous relationship and political story.

1. Wed to the Barbarian

Wed to the Barbarian (2021): Sheltered Prince Jem is sent away in an arranged marriage to Cador, a feared warrior from a harsh island kingdom whose people need the alliance.

Jem expects contempt from his reluctant husband, while Cador dismisses the quiet prince as weak and impractical.

Forced proximity gradually changes their understanding of each other, but dangerous omissions prevent the first book from delivering a complete resolution.

2. The Barbarian’s Vow

The Barbarian’s Vow (2021): Cador must repair the trust damaged in the first book while protecting Jem and securing a future for their people.

The sequel moves their arranged marriage toward chosen commitment as political danger and emotional betrayal converge.

Wed to the Barbarian is required first.

Barbarian Duet Collection

Collected editions package both novels but do not add a third installment.

The complete story remains:

  1. Wed to the Barbarian
  2. The Barbarian’s Vow

Festive Fakes Books in Order

Festive Fakes contains three connected Christmas romances built around fake dating, bisexual awakenings, family complications, and couples whose temporary arrangements become real.

Each novel changes protagonists and provides its own ending. Recurring characters make publication order the best choice.

1. The Christmas Deal

The Christmas Deal (2019): Unemployed former Marine Logan agrees to pretend to be Seth’s live-in boyfriend so Seth can improve his chances of receiving a promotion.

The arrangement also gives Logan and his stepson a home during a difficult Christmas.

What begins as a practical exchange becomes a bisexual awakening and an unexpected chance to create a family.

2. The Christmas Leap

The Christmas Leap (2021): Two longtime friends are pushed into a holiday arrangement that forces them to reconsider whether their bond has already become something more than friendship.

The book continues the Festive Fakes emphasis on forced proximity and men who misread or suppress their feelings.

Earlier characters may appear, but the central romance stands alone.

3. The Christmas Veto

The Christmas Veto (2023): Connor pretends to date Reid, his best friend’s older brother and the man he has secretly wanted since high school.

Connor is afraid to come out despite having supportive fathers, while Reid has never understood the depth of Connor’s feelings.

Connor first appears in The Christmas Deal, so reading the opening book adds useful family background.

Festive Fakes: The Complete Collection

Festive Fakes: The Complete Collection (2025): This illustrated edition includes The Christmas Deal, The Christmas Leap, and The Christmas Veto.

It is a collector’s edition rather than a fourth Festive Fakes romance.

Festive Fakes Reading Order

  1. The Christmas Deal
  2. The Christmas Leap
  3. The Christmas Veto

The couples change, but publication order preserves character introductions.

Lifeguards of Barking Beach Books in Order

Lifeguards of Barking Beach follows professional and volunteer lifesavers working along an Australian beach.

The books feature different couples and complete romantic endings. The lifeguard team and found-family relationships continue, so reading in order provides the clearest introductions.

1. Flash Rip

Flash Rip (2019): Former Australian football prospect Liam Fox has spent years hiding his sexuality and the desires a previous partner made him feel ashamed to admit.

Young trainee lifesaver Cody Grant recognizes what Liam needs and offers acceptance rather than judgment.

Their age-gap relationship opens the Barking Beach team and its close community.

Swept Away

Swept Away (2019): This shorter story revisits characters connected to Flash Rip and provides additional material within the original Barking Beach setting.

It is no longer generally offered as a separate current release.

Status: Optional legacy short story.

2. Free Wind

Free Wind (2025): Volunteer lifesaver Blake Holbrook becomes interested in laid-back professional lifeguard Damo Williams after supporting him during a rescue that goes wrong.

Damo considers himself straight, but his attraction to Blake leads to a bisexual awakening and a relationship complicated by pain hidden beneath his easygoing image.

The book can stand alone, although Flash Rip introduces the beach community first.

3. Impact Zone

Impact Zone (2026): Lachlan Yang has an anonymous encounter with Tim Bullock in Bali, knowing that Tim is his estranged best friend’s father even though Tim does not recognize him.

The secret becomes impossible to avoid when Tim returns to Barking Beach as Lachlan’s new boss.

Their romance combines an age gap, demisexual discovery, family estrangement, professional tension, and the consequences of Lachlan’s original silence.

Lifeguards of Barking Beach Reading Order

  1. Flash Rip
  2. Swept Away, optional and currently difficult to obtain
  3. Free Wind
  4. Impact Zone

All three main novels can be understood independently, but the listed order gives the best view of the lifeguard team.

Love on the Ice Books in Order

Love on the Ice gathers Keira Andrews’s figure-skating romances.

The books do not follow one continuous couple. They share competitive skating, training pressure, Olympic ambition, and relationships formed within or around the sport.

Current series listings use an order that does not always match the original release years. Publication order is the clearest method for understanding how the collection developed.

1. The Next Competitor

The Next Competitor (2010): Figure skater Alex Grady is focused on winning when his attraction to another man threatens the concentration and emotional control he believes competition requires.

The romance explores whether vulnerability can coexist with elite athletic ambition.

It is the earliest full-length entry in the current skating group.

2. Cold War

Cold War (2018): Rival figure skaters begin a forbidden relationship while competing inside a sport where reputation, coaching, and public performance leave little room for privacy.

Hostility on the ice masks attraction off it, creating a romance shaped by competition and secrecy.

The book has also been associated with older Cold War series labeling, but it now appears within Love on the Ice.

3. Only One Bed

Only One Bed (2021): Best friends Sam and Etienne reunite during a Christmas skating show and are forced to share a small cabin with one bed.

Etienne has long believed his feelings are unreturned, while Sam begins questioning the certainty that he is straight.

The story is a holiday friends-to-lovers romance and can be read independently.

4. Kiss and Cry

Kiss and Cry (2022): Rival figure skaters Henry Sakaguchi and Theo Sullivan train at the same center while preparing for the Olympics.

Henry sees Theo as an effortlessly successful distraction, but closer contact reveals the pressure and vulnerability beneath Theo’s cheerful public image.

Their enemies-to-lovers relationship becomes as important as the contest for gold.

Kiss and Cry Bonus Stories

Special editions of Kiss and Cry include two later stories featuring Henry and Theo.

These scenes belong after the main novel and should not be counted as separate series books.

The Next Competitor and Cold War Collection

Some editions combine The Next Competitor and Cold War.

The collection is an alternate format rather than another Love on the Ice installment.

Love on the Ice Reading Order

  1. The Next Competitor
  2. Cold War
  3. Only One Bed
  4. Kiss and Cry
  5. The Henry and Theo bonus stories, optional

Because the couples differ, readers can safely begin with Only One Bed or Kiss and Cry when those premises appeal most.

Love at the Holidays Books in Order

Love at the Holidays is a thematic collection of independent seasonal romances.

These books do not form one developing cast or timeline. They can be read in any order, although publication order is useful for a complete bibliography.

Eight Nights in December

Eight Nights in December (2007): Two young men are brought together during Hanukkah, where secret attraction, family celebrations, and limited privacy turn eight nights into a first chance at love.

The story was originally published under the shorter title Eight Nights.

Current editions use Eight Nights in December, so the two titles should not be counted separately.

Where the Lovelight Gleams

Where the Lovelight Gleams (2013, revised 2016): Actors Ryan and Cary play romantic interests on a television series, but Ryan believes their chemistry exists only on screen.

A Christmas visit to Ryan’s family cabin gives Cary space to confront his bisexuality and the feelings he has hidden from his co-star.

The story has appeared in more than one edition, which explains differing publication dates.

If Only in My Dreams

If Only in My Dreams (2014): A holiday journey reunites former friends or lovers whose unresolved feelings make the trip more emotionally significant than either expected.

The romance combines travel, second chances, and the possibility that a seasonal reunion can become permanent.

It is independent of the other holiday books.

Merry Christmas, Mr. Miggles

Merry Christmas, Mr. Miggles (2015): A younger librarian becomes determined to help his reserved older colleague when budget problems and personal loneliness threaten the holiday season.

Their workplace relationship develops through community effort, mutual care, and an age-gap attraction.

No other Love at the Holidays title is required.

The Christmas Deal

The Christmas Deal (2019): Logan and Seth enter a fake relationship that provides professional credibility for one man and a stable holiday home for the other.

This book belongs to both the holiday catalog and the separate Festive Fakes trilogy.

Follow its Festive Fakes placement when reading the connected characters.

Only One Bed

Only One Bed (2021): Sam visits Etienne during a Christmas skating engagement, where one shared bed brings years of friendship and hidden love into focus.

The story also belongs to Love on the Ice.

Eight Nights in December and Other Collections

Holiday bundles may combine several existing novellas.

Readers should check the contents before buying individual stories again.

Historical Standalone Books

Keira Andrews’s historical romances use different eras, countries, and couples. They are not part of one chronology.

Love Match

Love Match (2006): Two male tennis players face attraction within the restrictive world of early professional sport, where competition and public expectations make their relationship dangerous.

The novel is Keira Andrews’s earliest widely listed full-length release.

It was later associated with a short Love Match series label, but it can be approached independently.

Voyageurs

Voyageurs (2010): Two men traveling through the North American wilderness develop a relationship while survival, cultural divisions, and the physical demands of the journey force them to depend on each other.

The historical setting and expedition structure make this separate from Andrews’s later contemporary adventure romances.

The Station

The Station (2010, revised 2018): Privileged Colin Lancaster and stable master Patrick Callahan are transported to the Australian penal colony after being exposed as men who desire other men.

Their hostility changes as they survive the prison voyage and attempt to build a life in the Australian interior.

Current editions carry a 2018 release date, but an earlier version appeared years before.

Semper Fi

Semper Fi (2014): Marines Cal and Jim survive the Pacific War together, but Cal returns home knowing that his love for his married best friend can never be openly acknowledged.

After Jim’s wife dies, Cal helps him care for his children and orchard while both men confront trauma and changing feelings.

The novel is a complete postwar friends-to-lovers romance.

Kidnapped by the Pirate

Kidnapped by the Pirate (2017): A feared pirate captures the sheltered son of an enemy, expecting to use him for revenge rather than develop an emotional attachment.

Forced proximity at sea changes the balance between captor and captive as danger and desire reshape their relationship.

The novel is a standalone historical adventure.

The Station and Captive Editions

Special and collector editions may include new artwork, bonus scenes, or revised formatting.

Unless the edition description identifies a new standalone story, these formats should not be added as separate books.

Contemporary and Adventure Standalones

The following novels have independent couples and can be selected by premise.

The Chimera Affair

The Chimera Affair (2012): Two men become involved in a romantic suspense plot surrounding secrets, danger, and an operation whose true purpose is not immediately clear.

The title was once associated with a possible series label, but no continuing main sequence is required.

Arctic Fire

Arctic Fire (2012): An isolated Arctic assignment places two men together in severe conditions where survival and attraction become increasingly difficult to separate.

The shorter adventure romance stands alone.

Reading the Signs

Reading the Signs (2016): Rookie baseball pitcher Nico Agresta is traded into the orbit of veteran catcher Jake Fitzgerald, his older brother’s former teammate and longtime secret crush.

Jake is expected to control Nico’s temper and improve his performance, but their professional partnership develops into a more intimate power exchange.

The novel is a standalone sports romance.

Beyond the Sea

Beyond the Sea (2017): Pop star Troy Tanner and older pilot Brian Sinclair survive a plane crash and become stranded together on a remote tropical island.

Both men initially identify as straight, but isolation, dependence, and growing desire lead them to reconsider their sexuality and their future.

The romance resolves within one novel.

Honeymoon for One

Honeymoon for One (2018): Ethan travels alone on the Australian honeymoon he had planned with his unfaithful fiancé and meets older bus driver Clay.

Ethan is adjusting to hearing loss and heartbreak, while Clay has spent years avoiding his own needs.

Their age-gap friendship gradually becomes a romance and a new beginning.

Ends of the Earth

Ends of the Earth (2019): Young single father Jason becomes attracted to older park ranger Ben during a camping trip, then must rely on him when Jason’s daughter is abducted by a fugitive.

The novel combines sexual awakening, an age gap, family formation, and a wilderness rescue.

It was previously published as Road to the Sun. The two titles represent the same central novel.

In Case of Emergency

In Case of Emergency (2020): An accident or crisis brings two men with unresolved history back into contact, forcing them to examine feelings that ordinary circumstances allowed them to avoid.

The story is a compact contemporary romance and does not require another book.

Honeymoon for One and Australian Connections

Several Keira Andrews books use Australian settings, but that does not make them one series.

Honeymoon for One, The Station, and Lifeguards of Barking Beach have separate characters and timelines.

Fantasy and Fairy-Tale Standalones

Earthly Desires

Earthly Desires (2012): A supernatural or fairy-tale relationship brings together men divided by magic, duty, or the rules separating their worlds.

The story was associated with the Tempting Tales label, but it can be read independently.

Rise: A Gay Fairy Tale

Rise: A Gay Fairy Tale (2015): Jack climbs a magical beanstalk expecting to find a murderous giant and instead encounters Rion, the lonely guardian of a castle and its treasure.

Their hostile first meeting develops into attraction as both men confront abandonment, duty, and a new threat to the castle.

The story is currently offered as a newsletter book.

Earlier and Legacy Works

Several early Keira Andrews titles have been republished, revised, or folded into newer categories.

Daybreak

Daybreak (2008): A shorter romance follows two men whose relationship is tested or transformed by the arrival of a new day and the choices made after a private encounter.

Current availability varies, so readers may find it only through older editions or collections.

Eight Nights

Eight Nights (2007): This is the original title associated with the story now published as Eight Nights in December.

Do not count the two editions separately.

Road to the Sun

Road to the Sun: This is the former title of Ends of the Earth.

The current edition should replace it in a modern reading list.

Swept Away

Swept Away (2019): This Barking Beach short story uses characters from Flash Rip and is now treated as legacy bonus material rather than a readily available separate release.

Older Anthologies

Keira Andrews has contributed to multi-author holiday and romance anthologies.

Anthology appearances should not be counted as additional books when the same story is now available under its own title.

Retitled and Duplicate Keira Andrews Books

The following pairs should be treated as the same central story:

  1. Eight Nights and Eight Nights in December
  2. Road to the Sun and Ends of the Earth

The following are collections rather than new stories:

  1. Valor: The Complete Duology
  2. Festive Fakes: The Complete Collection
  3. Collections containing The Next Competitor and Cold War
  4. Barbarian Duet collected editions
  5. Holiday bundles containing previously published novellas

Special editions of Kiss and Cry may add bonus material, but the principal novel remains the same.

Impact Zone (2026): Lifeguard Lachlan Yang has an anonymous night with Tim Bullock, his estranged best friend’s father, then discovers that Tim is returning to Barking Beach as his boss.

The book was released on March 5, 2026 as the third Lifeguards of Barking Beach novel.

The author’s current storefront also promotes collector and special editions, including a deluxe edition connected to Kidnapped by the Pirate. These editions should not be treated as new novels unless they contain a separately titled story.

No later original Keira Andrews novel had a stable official title and publication date as of August 4, 2026.

Frequently Asked Questions

What was Keira Andrews’s first book?

Love Match (2006): Two male tennis players face a relationship complicated by competition and the need for secrecy within professional sport.

It is the earliest principal release consistently associated with her bibliography.

What is the best Keira Andrews book to start with?

A Forbidden Rumspringa is the best entry for readers wanting a continuing emotional series.

Honeymoon for One is a strong standalone starting point. Kick at the Darkness is the correct beginning for paranormal readers.

Do Keira Andrews’s books need to be read in order?

Only some of them.

Gay Amish Romance, Kick at the Darkness, Valor, and the Barbarian Duet follow continuing couples and plots. Their internal order is required.

Festive Fakes, Lifeguards of Barking Beach, Love on the Ice, and Love at the Holidays are more flexible.

Are the Gay Amish Romance books standalones?

No.

All three main novels follow Isaac and David. Their relationship and conflict continue directly from one book to the next.

Where does A Very English Christmas fit?

Read it after A Way Home.

It is a holiday follow-up for Isaac and David and reveals the outcome of the full trilogy.

Do the Kick at the Darkness books follow the same couple?

Yes.

Parker and Adam remain central throughout Kick at the Darkness, Fight the Tide, and Defy the Future.

Is Defy the Future a standalone?

No.

It returns to Parker, Adam, their pack, and the post-outbreak world established in the first two novels. Reading the earlier books is essential.

Does Wed to the Barbarian end on a complete resolution?

It provides only the first half of Jem and Cador’s story.

Read The Barbarian’s Vow immediately afterward for the complete romantic and political ending.

Can the Festive Fakes books be read separately?

Yes. Each novel follows a different couple.

Publication order is preferable because later protagonists may appear earlier, especially Connor in The Christmas Deal.

Yes.

Connor first appears in The Christmas Deal. His own fake-dating romance with Reid occurs in The Christmas Veto.

Do the Lifeguards of Barking Beach books stand alone?

Each main book follows a new couple and provides its own ending.

Reading from Flash Rip gives the clearest introduction to the lifeguard team and found-family relationships.

Where does Swept Away fit?

It is a short story associated with Flash Rip and belongs after that novel.

It is no longer consistently available as a separate current release, so it should be treated as optional.

Is Impact Zone the third Barking Beach book?

Yes.

The main sequence is Flash Rip, Free Wind, then Impact Zone.

Are all the Love on the Ice books connected?

They are grouped by figure skating rather than one continuing family or couple.

The books may be read independently, although publication order provides a clean progression through Andrews’s skating romances.

Is Only One Bed a holiday book or a skating book?

It is both.

The central characters are connected to competitive skating, while the romance takes place during a Christmas show in a mountain village.

Are Eight Nights and Eight Nights in December different books?

Is Kidnapped by the Pirate part of the Barbarian Duet?

No.

Both use historical or adventure settings, but they follow different characters and continuities. Kidnapped by the Pirate is a standalone.

What is Keira Andrews’s latest book?

The latest confirmed original novel is Impact Zone, published on March 5, 2026.

It follows Lachlan and Tim in the Lifeguards of Barking Beach series.

Conclusion

Keira Andrews’s books divide into strict continuing stories and flexible romance collections.

Begin with A Forbidden Rumspringa for the complete Gay Amish Romance journey. Begin with Kick at the Darkness for paranormal survival, Valor on the Move for bodyguard romance, or Wed to the Barbarian for fantasy adventure.

Readers who prefer a different couple in every book can start with The Christmas Deal, Flash Rip, or any Love on the Ice title. For a standalone, Honeymoon for One, Beyond the Sea, and Semper Fi require no preparation.

The most important rule is to keep the continuing couples together. Isaac and David, Parker and Adam, Rafa and Shane, and Jem and Cador each need their full series order for the intended emotional and plot resolution.
