Yasmine Galenorn is best read by world, not by one giant publication list. Her official site currently separates her fiction into several clear lanes: Otherworld, Wild Hunt, Moonshadow Bay, Shadow Blade, Starlight Hollow, Indigo Court, Whisper Hollow, Fury Unbound, Bewitching Bedlam, Chintz ’n China, Magic Happens, Married at First Bite, Night Queen, Hedge Dragon, Dusk Till Dawn and a few smaller side shelves. Her March 2026 status page also makes the continuity boundaries unusually clear: Otherworld is finished at 21 books, Wild Hunt is finished in its core run, Indigo Court, Fury Unbound, Bewitching Bedlam, Chintz ’n China, Bath & Body, and Winter’s Spell Trilogy are finished, while newer lines like Shadow Blade and Starlight Hollow are still active or recently active.

The shortest useful answer
If you want one practical Yasmine Galenorn reading path, use this:
- Otherworld
- Dusk Till Dawn and Otherworld Tales only after that
- The Wild Hunt
- Then choose between Moonshadow Bay, Shadow Blade, or Starlight Hollow
- Read the older or shorter shelves after that by taste
That order protects the biggest continuity chains and keeps the spinoffs in their proper place.
Door One: The Otherworld books in order
This is the core Yasmine Galenorn shelf and still the one most readers mean when they ask where to begin. The main series is finished at 21 books, and Galenorn says a new follow-on series, Otherworld Unleashed, is planned for 2027.
- Witchling: The real entry point to the D’Artigo sisters saga, introducing Camille, Delilah, Menolly, and the Earthside war against Shadow Wing.
- Changeling: The second book deepens the sisters’ shared world rather than resetting it, so it belongs immediately after the opener.
- Darkling: This keeps the same rotating-sisters structure moving and works best once the series rules are already in place.
- Dragon Wytch: The fourth book expands the magical and dragon-linked side of the Otherworld arc.
- Night Huntress: By Book 5, the series is fully operating as one long war story rather than separate paranormal adventures.
- Demon Mistress: This continues the same central conflict and should be read in order.
- Bone Magic: A later-stage Otherworld book that builds on the established sister dynamics and wider war.
- Harvest Hunting: The stakes keep widening here, making it part of the same continuous campaign against Shadow Wing.
- Blood Wyne: The world and family network are fully established by now, so this is not a good jump-in point.
- Courting Darkness: This continues the long-form arc and should stay in sequence.
- Shaded Vision: The eleventh book keeps the pressure on the sisters without changing the underlying continuity.
- Shadow Rising: Read twelfth, as the title suggests the series is moving toward a more openly escalating stage.
- Haunted Moon: This belongs after the first dozen books because the emotional and magical groundwork is already dense by now.
- Autumn Whispers: Another late-series installment that assumes you know the cast and the war.
- Crimson Veil: The series continues tightening around the endgame here.
- Priestess Dreaming: This deepens the spiritual and magical threads that have been building across the run.
- Panther Prowling: A late Otherworld entry that relies heavily on the accumulated world and relationship history.
- Darkness Raging: This starts the indie-published end stretch of the main series and belongs exactly here.
- Moon Shimmers: The nineteenth book continues the same final-phase movement.
- Harvest Song: This pushes the story toward its closing consequences.
- Blood Bonds: The current endpoint of the main Otherworld sequence and the proper stopping place before any future continuation.
Optional after the main novels: Otherworld Tales
These are extras, not replacements for the main books. Read them only after you already know the series well.
- Otherworld Tales, Volume One: A collection shelf for shorter Otherworld material.
- Otherworld Tales, Volume Two: More side material once you are already established in the world.
- Etched in Silver: An optional novella for readers who want more background and side movement.
- Ice Shards: Another novella best treated as bonus reading.
- Bonfire Dreams: A Delilah-centered novella that works after the main run is familiar.
- Blood & Bones: A side entry for existing readers, not a starting point.
- The Shadow of Mist: Another optional Otherworld novella.
- Where It Began: A new Otherworld novella released on April 7, 2026, and currently the newest visible Otherworld-world title.
Related spinoff: Dusk Till Dawn
This was previously called Fly By Night. Galenorn now presents it as an Otherworld spinoff, but says it does not replace the main Otherworld order.
- Flight From Death: The main series opener for Shimmer’s spinoff branch.
- Flight From Mayhem: The direct sequel and current second book.
Optional prequel:
- Flight From Hell: Read after you already know the setting, or slot it before Flight From Death if you specifically want the prequel first.
Door Two: The Wild Hunt books in order
This is the best complete modern binge if you want something newer than Otherworld but still substantial. Galenorn’s current status page says the core main series is finished, with 17 books and 1 novella, and that future Wild Hunt novellas will introduce a later Crystal Fae continuation.
- The Silver Stag: Ember Kearney’s story begins here, and this is the proper entry point to the Wild Hunt world.
- Oak & Thorns: The second book continues Ember’s fae-linked investigation arc directly.
- Iron Bones: This keeps the same cast and conflict line moving without any reset.
- A Shadow of Crows: The fourth book expands the dangers around Ember and the Hunt.
- The Hallowed Hunt: The series is fully in stride by now, with the Wild Hunt mythology doing more of the work.
- The Silver Mist: A later-stage escalation book, best read in order.
- Witching Hour: This continues the same war-and-magic thread.
- Witching Bones: Read eighth, not as a side entry.
- A Sacred Magic: The ninth book pushes deeper into the fae and god-touched conflict.
- The Eternal Return: A late-series pivot that lands best with the earlier context behind it.
- Sun Broken: This keeps the arc moving through its back half.
- Witching Moon: Another direct continuation of the same long-form story.
- Autumn’s Bane: The threats keep widening here.
- Witching Time: Read fourteenth to preserve the build toward the endgame.
- Hunter’s Moon: The fifteenth book belongs late because of the accumulated mythology and alliances.
- Witching Fire: The series keeps tightening toward its close.
- Veil of Stars: The main-novel endpoint of the currently listed Wild Hunt run.
Optional novella:
- Antlered Crown: Read after the main sequence or in publication order at the end of the current run.
Door Three: Paranormal women’s fiction
If you are here for midlife heroines, magical towns, and a slightly cozier structure, this is the lane to use.
Moonshadow Bay
Galenorn’s site says there are currently 13 books/novellas on the live list, while the March 2026 status page notes 14 books/novellas in the broader series count. The live printable list shows 13 named entries at present, so that is the safest visible order to use right now.
- Starlight Web: January Jaxson’s return to Moonshadow Bay begins here, making it the correct start to this world.
- Midnight Web: The second book continues January’s magical-town reinvention arc.
- Conjure Web: The setting and found-family side of the series deepen here.
- Harvest Web: Read fourth, once the town and its dangers are already familiar.
- Shadow Web: The fifth book belongs in straight order with the first four.
- Weaver’s Web: This continues the same Moonshadow Bay thread.
- Crystal Web: A late-middle entry that relies on the established cast.
- Witch’s Web: The magical-town mystery structure remains central here.
- Cursed Web: Read ninth to preserve the series progression.
- Solstice Web: This carries the same ongoing story forward.
- Dreamer’s Web: A novella-length entry best read here, not earlier.
- Woodland Web: Another novella-length installment that belongs late in the run.
- Feathered Web: The current visible endpoint on the printable list.
Whisper Hollow
This is separate from Moonshadow Bay and not tied to Otherworld. Galenorn currently lists 3 books and says the series is on pause while rights issues are sorted out.
- Autumn Thorns: Kerris Fellwater’s return to Whisper Hollow starts the spirit-shaman trilogy.
- Shadow Silence: The second book deepens the town secrets and guardian dynamics.
- The Phantom Queen: The current endpoint of the series.
Magic Happens
A shorter side shelf in the Shadow Towns world.
- Shadow Magic: The first Marquette Sanders book and the right place to start this branch.
- Charmed to Death: The direct follow-up and current second book.
Married at First Bite
Another Shadow Towns-adjacent paranormal women’s fiction shelf.
- Haunted Eclipse: The opener and current Book 1.
- Vampire’s Vixen: The second book and current endpoint.
Door Four: Urban fantasy and darker fantasy shelves
Shadow Blade
This is one of the cleanest current entry points because it is urban fantasy, not explicit, and still actively growing. Galenorn’s March 2026 update says Book 6 will be out in June.
- Shadow Seeking: Kyann Sarasan’s series begins here.
- Shadow Scorching: The second book continues the investigations-and-demons thread directly.
- Shadow Dreaming: Read third for the ongoing arc to land properly.
- Shadow Running: The fourth book keeps the same Seattle-based supernatural line moving.
- Shadow Stealing: The current released endpoint on the printable list.
Starlight Hollow
This is a dark paranormal romance/fantasy shelf, currently six books, and Galenorn says it is not part of any other altaverse at the current time.
- Starlight Hollow: Elphyra’s move to Starlight Hollow starts the series.
- Starlight Dreams: The second book continues the same small-town dark-fantasy arc.
- Starlight Demons: The series pushes further into supernatural danger here.
- Starlight Witch: Read fourth to preserve the cast and romance progression.
- Starlight Summons: A late-series escalation entry.
- Starlight Spells: Released February 24, 2026, and the newest visible full-length Starlight Hollow book.
Night Queen
Galenorn describes this as dark urban fantasy with 2 books and 1 novella.
- Tattered Thorns: The first Lyrical novel and the right place to start.
- Shattered Spells: The direct sequel.
Optional novella:
- Fractured Flowers: Read after the first two books as the current side piece/end point.
Hedge Dragon
Still in progress, with two books so far on the official status page.
- The Poisoned Forest: The opening fantasy-romance entry.
- The Tangled Sky: A novella-length second installment.
Indigo Court
Finished at five novels and one novella, and clearly separate from Otherworld. Galenorn has said the two series are not in the same altaverse and do not cross over.
- Night Myst: The proper start to Cicely’s dark-fae-and-vampire world.
- Night Veil: The second book continues the Indigo Court arc directly.
- Night Seeker: Read third for the world-building and danger escalation to land.
- Night Vision: The fourth book pushes the series toward its final stage.
- Night’s End: The current main-series ending.
Optional novella:
- Night Shivers: Read after the novels as the side entry/extra.
Lily Bound
Currently just one book on the status page, with more possible later but no timeline.
- Souljacker: Start here if you specifically want this one-off-turned-possible-series branch.
Door Five: Older finished shelves
Chintz ’n China
Finished. The status page says 5 books and 2 novellas; the printable list shows a seven-entry reading line.
- Ghost of a Chance: Emerald O’Brien’s paranormal mystery series starts here.
- Legend of the Jade Dragon: The second case continues the same mystery line.
- Murder Under a Mystic Moon: Read third in order.
- A Harvest of Bones: The fourth mystery keeps the same cast and occult setup going.
- One Hex of a Wedding: This is the fifth main entry.
- Holiday Spirits: A novella/shorter entry that belongs late in the run.
- Well of Secrets: The current final entry on the printable list.
Bewitching Bedlam
Finished; the status page says five books and several novellas, while the series page and printable list show the main novels plus related shorter works.
- Bewitching Bedlam: The proper series opener.
- Maudlin’s Mayhem: The direct second novel.
- Siren’s Song: The third novel keeps the Bedlam story moving.
- Witches Wild: Read fourth in the main line.
- Casting Curses: The fifth book and part of the finished core run.
- Demon’s Delight: The printable list places this as the sixth novel-length entry, so it is safest to read it after Casting Curses.
Optional side pieces:
- The Wish Factor
- Blood Music
- Blood Vengeance
- Tiger Tails
- Bedlam Calling
Fury Unbound
Finished at five novels.
- Fury Rising: The start of the post-apocalyptic urban-fantasy line.
- Fury’s Magic: The second book continues the same arc directly.
- Fury Awakened: Read third in order.
- Fury Calling: The fourth book belongs exactly here.
- Fury’s Mantle: The current endpoint of the finished series.
Bath & Body
Finished at three books.
- Scent to Her Grave: The cozy-mystery opener.
- A Blush With Death: The second case.
- Glossed and Found: The final book in the series.
Winter’s Spell Trilogy
Finished trilogy.
- Weaving Winter: The romantasy opening.
- Ice Magic: The direct sequel.
- A Dream of Snow: The trilogy finale.
Recommended reading orders by reader type
If you want the classic Galenorn experience, go with Witchling and stay in Otherworld. If you want the strongest finished modern binge, pick The Silver Stag and read Wild Hunt straight through. If you want paranormal women’s fiction, start with Starlight Web. If you want the easiest active urban-fantasy entry point, start with Shadow Seeking. Galenorn’s own “Where should I start?” page points new readers first to Moonshadow Bay/Magic Happens, Otherworld, Wild Hunt, and Shadow Blade, which broadly matches that recommendation.
Latest release status
